Scenography advice…

How did we come up with the scenography for Proof?

On a sunny day we saw the windows in front of a building: workers were putting new ones in and getting rid of the old ones! We took them back home and spent days getting the glass out. The result was super cool!

It was clear we wanted to have a garden table around which Catherine and Claire would sit to have coffee, and a bench on which Robert could dream about “beautiful mathematics, the most elegant proofs”. Michalis Panagiotakis insisted on the set being as minimalist as possible, and then brought the leaves which he sprinkled over the stage. It was magic!

For our scenography, we benefit from the advise of Stéphane le Nédic. He drew this cool sketch when we were preparing Proof:
